The CREA submits proposals on research and innovation to the CNRST

On December 22, the Employers' Organization CREA (Council for Algerian Economic Renewal) submits to the President of the CNRST its report on the "40 proposals for encouraging R&D". Through this strong commitment, the CREA came to share its vision, which is the result of extensive consultation with the operators of public and private companies. This report is based on the observation that "the promotion of research and its corollary, innovation in the socio-economic sector, have remained below expectations, as evidenced by the limited number of patents registered at INAPI for all of Algeria (1000), the virtual absence of spin-offs created in Algeria from these patents and the low number of Algerian companies with R&D structures capable of supporting innovation within them (product, service, process)". The report then highlights the effort made by the State under the impetus of the President of the Republic to encourage and promote innovation and business creation. CREA's proposals are classified according to three axes.
- the establishment of a GIE (Economic Interest Grouping) by major sector to manage industrial transformation and innovation,
- the establishment of a research ecosystem adapted to the needs of the various actors,
- collaborative research by companies (public and private) with public research entities (EPST, university research laboratories).

Today, it is a question of making a real paradigm shift in companies, EPSTs and universities by putting the knowledge economy and innovation at the heart of our research approaches, strategies and policies. It is also the mission and the roadmap of the CNRST as an organization of the Presidency of the Republic.
